You will play as a young warrior adventuring the Ruins of the Kings. A fresh graduate of the Academy of Camphor, you can attune your swordmanship and magic to the legendary crystal blade and defeat the chaotic wardens of the Crystal Ruins!
Crystal Reign is a game project completed in UCI Game Capstone class. The project was in development from September 2020 to March 2021. It was pitched as an generic Action RPG in Unreal Engine 4.

Explored masked Volumetric effects from Asher Zhu's Tech Art talk/blog . Made custome materials for procedural skybox, fog sheets and fake God Rays.
Developed many blueprint tools such as spline generator, prefab switcher, smart material converter to help level designers and artist speed up their workflow.
Thanks to many assets from Hank's Stylized FX 6 from Epic Marketplace, I was able to learn a lot about the anatomy of particle systems and made may new variations.
Because many of the sequence and system require UE's Niagara systems, I convereted his workin the decrepted Cascade Partical system into Niagara as well.
